There are so many posts about recipes and crafts that she made, not by herself, but \u003Ci\u003Ewith\u003C\/i\u003E her children.\u0026nbsp; I can only imagine how much fun they must have together and how much they are learning every day.\u0026nbsp; And, since Danielle herself is a fantastic cook and crafter, you know that they're learning from the best!\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nWhile browsing through her blog, I came across some very yummy recipes that I wanted to try:\u0026nbsp; But, the recipe I decided to go with was her Cinnamon Swirl Pumpkin Banana Bread.\u0026nbsp; It seemed to combine all of my favorites - banana bread, pumpkin bread, and cinnamon bread, all in one.\u0026nbsp; Add in the brown sugar, butter, and yogurt, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.\u0026nbsp; Combine the dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients, mixing till just combined.\u0026nbsp; Grease 4 mini loaf pans.\u0026nbsp; Fill each pan with 1\/2 c. batter.\u0026nbsp; Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.\u0026nbsp; Top off with 1\/2 c. of batter and spread evenly.\u0026nbsp; Sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar.\u0026nbsp; They were moist and chock full of pumpkiny, spicy flavors.\u0026nbsp; I honestly did not think that they could get any better.\u0026nbsp; I was wrong.\u0026nbsp; Two words - browned butter. \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nIt's that whole adage . . . if I knew then what I know now.\u0026nbsp; Well, what I know now is how to brown butter and I also know that browned butter makes everything, and I mean everything, so much better.\u0026nbsp; Once you go browned, you'll never go back.\u0026nbsp; So it was with these pumpkin pie bars.\u0026nbsp; One taste of them and the difference was like night and day.\u0026nbsp; Oooohhh, I was in pumpkin heaven.\u0026nbsp; Correction - browned butter pumpkin heaven.\u0026nbsp; I eagerly shared these bars with friends of mine and they were just as over the moon about them as I was.\u0026nbsp; May I never forget this important lesson - browned butter = better! \u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cspan style=\"color: red;\"\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: large;\"\u003E\u003Cb\u003EBrowned Butter Pumpkin Pie Bars\u003C\/b\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E (slightly adapted from \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.browneyedbaker.com\/pumpkin-pie-bars\/\"\u003EBrown Eyed Baker\u003C\/a\u003E)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 c. flour\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 1\/2 tsp. cinnamon\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1 tsp. ginger\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1\/4 tsp. nutmeg\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1\/2 tsp. salt\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1 c. butter, browned\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 c. brown sugar\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 eggs\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 tsp. vanilla\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin puree\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003EFor the top:\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 Tbsp. sugar\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1 tsp. cinnamon\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nLine a 9x13 pan with parchment paper.\u0026nbsp; Combine the dry ingredients and set aside.\u0026nbsp; Brown the butter until it smells nutty (do not discard the browned bits).\u0026nbsp; Let the browned butter cool slightly to room temperature.\u0026nbsp; Combine the butter with the sugar, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.\u0026nbsp; Mix in the pumpkin.\u0026nbsp; Stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nSpread the batter evenly in the pan.\u0026nbsp; Instead of putting all the marshmallows and chocolate chips into the batter, I saved half of them and added them onto the top during the last 10 minutes of baking.\u0026nbsp; Since the recipe calls for both pumpkin and spices, you would think that you would taste them in the brownies themselves.\u0026nbsp; But, actually, all you really taste is a deep chocolatiness.\u0026nbsp; I think the pumpkin is what makes these extra fudgy, gooey, and rich.\u0026nbsp; In fact, I'd recommend keeping them chilled, otherwise, they tend to fall apart a little.\u0026nbsp; I also used water instead of milk, but that was because I didn't have any milk in the house at the time.\u0026nbsp; Still, the rolls came out fantastic.\u0026nbsp; They were soft, they were fluffy, they were deliciously caramelized on the outside.\u0026nbsp; Then, as the icing on the cake, or the bread, I should say, you top them off with a sweet cream cheese icing.\u0026nbsp; Finally, with a roll in your hand (or maybe one in each hand), you pull off one cinnamony-sugary piece after another and put it into your mouth, savoring every bite.\u0026nbsp;
